Interior Coordination/Business Development
April was raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. She relocated to Tucson, Arizona upon enrolling at the University of Arizona in August of 2002. While there she majored in Retailing and Consumer Sciences, and Minored in Business Administration. Her passion for design was driven by multiple, retail-visual merchandising and space planning courses. She received her Bachelor of Science in May of 2006 and continued her education receiving an additional degree in Interior Design in 2009.
The Peterson Team welcomed April in September 2006 as a Design Assistant, assisting in an array of design and business development activities. While at Peterson Architecture April has been named Interior Designer/Coordinator for some of the firm’s residential and commercial projects. In 2008 and 2009 she was named second and first place winner of the ASID North Chapter Student Charette Competition. She continues to collaborate with professionals, designers and clients from various facets of the design world.
With visions of completing marathons April enjoys long distance training and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through physical activities. She also enjoys indulging in foreign cultures, the arts, traveling at every opportunity and visiting her family who reside in the suburbs of Chicago.
